Intra-alveolar fracture of a developing permanent incisor.

چکیده
A longitudinal complicated crown-root fracture of an unerupted permanent incisor following trauma to primary teeth is reported. The development of the affected permanent tooth was not disturbed during a follow-up period of six years. Traumatic injuries to primary teeth can be transmitted to the permanent dentition because of the close relationship between the apices of primary teeth and the developing permanent successors. Intra-alveolar crown fracture of developing permanent dentition following trauma to primary teeth is considered rare. The common findings due to such injuries are discoloration of enamel, enamel hypoplasia, crown dilaceration, abnormal root angulation, or disturbances in eruption (Andreasen 1981). The present report describes a longitudinal crown-root fracture of an unerupted incisor following traumatic injury to the primary dentition and its long-term follow-up.

Horizontal Root Fracture Accompanied by Luxation of Coronal Fragment in a Maxillary Central Incisor: A Case Report
Root fracture injuries affect up to 7% of permanent teeth. This type of injury is rarely seen in teeth with open apices and depending on the fracture site, the prognosis is good. This case report describes a horizontal intra-alveolar root fracture in the middle third of a maxillary central incisor associated with an extrusive luxation of the coronal segment and its treatment in a 6-year-old gir...

The aims of the present study were to evaluate the angulation and inclination of permanent maxillary incisors and to correlate the results to the intra-alveolar permanent maxillary canine position during mixed dentition, using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). The subjects were 30 children aged 7 to 10 years in the inter-transitory period of mixed dentition (permanent incisors and first mol...
متن کاملDelayed tooth eruption as a result of trauma.
A tooth displaced down into alveolar bone is an intrusive luxation. This injury usually is accompanied by comminution of alveolar fracture. The dislocation is frequently axial and radiographic examination reveals absence of periodontal space. The primary site for luxation injuries is the maxillary anterior region in the primary and permanent dentition with frequency higher in the primary dentit...
متن کاملRe-eruption of an intruded immature permanent incisor with necrotic pulp: a case report.
Intrusive luxation is a serious dental injury that causes damage to the pulp and supporting structures of a tooth because of its dislocation into the alveolar process. This paper presents the case of the re-eruption of a severely intruded immature permanent incisor with a crown-root fracture. A 9-year-old boy was referred to the clinic 1 day after a fall. Clinical and radiographic examinations ...
متن کاملDelayed Repositioning in Teeth with Horizontal Root Fracture: Two Case Reports
Introduction: Horizontal root fracture (HRF) generally has a good prognosis of healing at fracture line after repositioning and flexible splinting. However, various factors such as delayed referral may unfavorably influence close reduction of firmly displaced coronal fragments and the long-term prognosis of healing at fracture line. Case 1: A 25-year-old woman with HRF in her maxillary central ...
